The Art Deco style emerged in the 1920s, during the World Fair in Paris, France. The style is exemplified through geometric and symmetrical patterns. This piece reminded us of the Capitol Theatre here in Singapore - the symmetrical cascading array of emeralds on each side leading up to the diamond in the middle mirrors the iconic towering leaf-blade feature of the Capitol Theatre.
